Speech, Intelligence, Consciousness
… And the Divine Ape

Speech, Intelligence and Consciousness
Are considered to be the three elements
distinguishing Man from the rest of the world surrounding him
placing him on the highest level of the hierarchy on planet Earth.
Within the scheme of Interdependency,
Man is only a Part, in that he Depends
upon an endless chain of Other Life Forms for his existence
as much as they depend upon him for theirs.
Yet Not All Other Life Forms – and Not Always…
depend on Man and his Existence or Participation.
Many life forms can survive better without man’s presence.
There are also questions that arise in regards to those three elements
particularly the one of Consciousness – not meant here as spirituality
but as intelligent -or instinctive- awareness of Life and Participation
in it the way a creature has been Programmed to do
either predetermined or with a free choice
or adaptation within its environment and need for survival.
All creatures, whether animals, plants or micro-organisms
possess some degree of Intelligence and some means of Communication
within their Own Species and tailored to their needs for survival.
The only thing that appears unique –in comparison– is that Man’s
Intelligence and Communications are more developed and intricate
to suit his needs and survival and understood mainly by his own kind.
No difference really if the comparison is based
on species development and specific needs for survival and continuation.
An Amoeba does not need to develop Computer Intelligence
nor does it need a Mobile phone or Language to communicate …or not!
… with its boss, wife /husband or mum.
Consciousness is the third element and considered one more level up
and again mainly unique to man.
But what is consciousness and is it really something unique to him
or is it one of his many ‘happy’ misconceptions
while in reality it is his inability to register or perceive
the aspect of consciousness in other life forms
because it appears different to his
and cannot be communicated back to him?
For example;
Man, at least at the present, cannot survive without the Earth
-both as a Planet as well as for All it provides for him.
Yet, does Earth as a Planet depend upon man for its existence?
It appears it does not
and can possibly survive even better without him.
From Man’s general point of view though
with the exception of some mystics or so inclined sensitive people
the Earth is “just a planet”
without consciousness nor awareness.
He might be excused for believing so
for how else could he get away with so many
detrimental actions he senselessly delivers upon Earth
– the Sole Sustenance of his life?
Could it possibly be that Man
being in the infancy stage of his evolution
his present ignorance is tolerated
by planet – mother – Earth
much as a mother would do with her toddler
or perhaps as a Higher Consciousness Life Form
with greater tolerance, patience and understanding?
The Sun is also absolutely essential not only for man’s survival
but for practically everything that exists upon the face of Earth
while man is neither essential nor part of Sun’s existence.
Yet from man’s point of view
the Sun is also “just a celestial body – a ball of fire”
without consciousness nor awareness
highly adorned but more distant even than Earth’s
‘home like’ sense of closeness.
At this point of time man believes that he stands alone
as practically the “Only creature” in his known universe
that has the kind of Consciousness and Intelligence
that sets him apart from all else that surrounds him.
More likely man’s Consciousness and Intelligence
are still limited, rudimentary and undeveloped
and thus unable to perceive other finer or alternate levels
of Consciousness Less or Far more Developed than his Own…
Perhaps, more correctly put, would be:
Man is Just A Step Above Many
…and Many Steps Below Some!
